St. Patrick 5K and 1 Mile Run
The St. Patrick 5K and 1 Mile Run takes place at Wilderness Run Vineyards in Spotsylvania, Virginia. This event features cross-country style trail routes that incorporate hills throughout the landscape of the vineyards. The course is located at 11109 Plank Road, with both the start and finish lines positioned near the winery entrance.
Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
The 5K course includes a water station at approximately the 1.5-mile marker. For the 1 Mile fun run, awards are reserved for participants aged 13 and under. In the 5K event, awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as the top three finishers in various age categories ranging from 13 and under to 50 and over.
The race operates under a one-hour time limit. Because the event utilizes cross-country trails, strollers are not permitted on the course. Leashed dogs are allowed, provided owners manage cleanup. Facilities on-site include port-a-johns located near the registration area, and free parking is available approximately 100 meters from the starting line.
Post-race activities at the vineyards include live music and a food truck. Participants aged 21 and over receive a ticket for a glass of beer or wine from the onsite brewery or vineyard.
