St. Patrick 5K and 1 Mile Run

The St. Patrick 5K and 1 Mile Run takes place at Wilderness Run Vineyards in Locust Grove, VA. The event includes a cross country style trail course with hills and on-site parking. Restroom facilities consist of port-a-johns located near registration. A single water station is provided along the 5K course at approximately mile 1.5; locations are subject to change.

Post-race activities include live music and a food truck. Registered runners over 21 receive a drink ticket valid for one glass of beer from 1781 Brewing or one glass of wine from Wilderness Run Vineyards. The event will hold a 50/50 raffle with the drawing taking place during the awards ceremony. Proceeds benefit St. Patrick School. The organizer notes the race is intended to run in all weather unless extreme conditions require cancellation.

Awards are presented after the races. For the 1 Mile fun run, only runners 13 and under are eligible for overall awards; age-group awards include categories for 10 and under and 11 to 13. For the 5K, overall top three men and women are awarded along with age-group awards for 13 and under, 14 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, and 50 and over.
