2026 Spring Fling 5K Poker Ride/Run Fundraiser

This is a community 5K poker ride and run at the Equestrian Skills Course in Bear Creek Regional Park, Colorado Springs. The event is a multi-user trail format that welcomes horses (riding and driving), pack burros, bicyclists, runners, and hikers. Families are encouraged to attend; children and well behaved, leashed dogs are allowed. The event is organized as a non-speed trail activity.

Participants receive a scorecard at registration and visit five checkpoints along the course. Adult participants draw cards at each checkpoint to build a poker hand. Participants under 18 collect stamps toward a special prize division. Completed hands are turned in at the finish line. Prizes are awarded for the highest and lowest hands in each category, and there are special awards for the oldest participant and the person who traveled the furthest. Winners must be present to claim prizes.

All proceeds support construction and maintenance of the Equestrian Skills Course. Advance registration is priced at $25 and day-of registration at $35; day-of ticket sales accept cash or credit. Online sales close on the Wednesday before the event. Parking is provided at the Norris-Penrose Event Center, 1045 Lower Gold Camp Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80905. The event has a no refunds policy.
