Rattler Trail Race

Rattler Trail Race is a city park trail event in Palmer Park, Colorado Springs, held on April 17, 2027. The event offers multiple distances that run on singletrack through sandstone bluffs and rock formations with panoramic views of the city and Pikes Peak in the distance.

Course and elevation details vary by distance. The 50K has a highest point near 6,598 feet, total elevation gain about 3,838 feet and elevation loss about 3,832 feet. The 25K shares the same highest and lowest points with roughly 1,919 feet of gain. The 10K ranges between about 6,224 and 6,592 feet with roughly 699 feet of gain. The 5K ranges between about 6,224 and 6,592 feet with roughly 397 feet of gain.

Aid stations are cupless; runners must use reusable cups, bladders or bottles to refill from water dispensers located at the start/finish area and at every aid station. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Colorado Running Company, and day of packet pickup is available at the starting area; photo ID is required to receive a packet. Entries are non transferable. Runners receive a race shirt and a finisher medal. The finish area is at the same location as the start.
