Greenland Trail Races

The Greenland Trail Races take place at Greenland Open Space in Larkspur, Colorado on May 2, 2026. The event offers multiple trail distances on dirt trails that run through native grasslands, ponds, Gamble oak hills and ponderosa pine forests, with views of Pikes Peak and surrounding buttes. The course follows parts of the Colorado Front Range Trail and the Old Territorial Road and uses wide, smooth double-track trails.

Distances:

  • 50K - four laps of the main loop
  • 25K - two laps of the main loop
  • 8 Mile - one loop with a downhill section to the finish
  • 4 Mile - an out-and-back that finishes at the shelter area

Aid stations are placed at mile 3.5 and 7.5 of each loop and offer water and Gatorade. Gels are provided at these stations for 25K and 50K runners starting on the second lap. There are no aid stations on the four mile course. A portable restroom is located at the southern edge of the course near the 3.5 mile aid station. Runners are asked to consider carrying refillable bottles to reduce paper waste.

Registration notes include an age requirement of 18 or older for the 50K and a $5 reduced fee for ages 17 and under in the 25K, 8 Mile, and 4 Mile races. Packet pickup is available in the days before the race at two Runners Roost locations and on race morning at the race site. The event serves as the 2026 RRCA National 50K Championship.
