Rock Hawk Trail Races

Rock Hawk Trail Races take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Philip S. Miller Park in Castle Rock, CO. The event uses the Miller Park and Ridgeline Trail systems and features rolling, non-technical singletrack with notable views. A portion of race proceeds supports the open spaces and trails of Castle Rock and partner charities.

Distances offered:

  • 50K - 31.2 miles, 3,325 feet total elevation gain
  • 25K - 15.6 miles, 1,667 feet total elevation gain
  • 10K - 6.2 miles, 744 feet total elevation gain
  • 5K - 3.1 miles, 342 feet total elevation gain

On-course support includes two cup-free aid stations that runners may pass multiple times. Aid stations provide water, an electrolyte drink (Tailwind), sweet and salty snacks, and fruit. Drop bags are permitted at the start/finish area in a weather sealed bag. Crew and pacer policies differ by distance; for example, the 25K does not allow crew and requires pacers to carry required gear and complete a gear check. Time limits are set per distance.

Race services listed for participants include chip timing, a custom finisher award, finish line photos, and live split tracking during race weekend. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
