The Spring Creek Memorial Trail Run takes place in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, on the Spring Creek Trail. The 9.5 mile distance follows a scenic loop on primitive trails, two-track, single-track, and a short section of forest service road. This course includes an elevation gain of approximately 1,750 feet within the first four miles, primarily occurring between the second and fourth mile. This segment involves narrow, rocky single-track and several large downed trees. Following the ascent, the route transitions into a smooth, rolling downhill section.
The 5k distance is an out-and-back course on the Spring Creek Trail. The terrain for this shorter distance consists of rolling two-track and single-track paths. The event concludes with a post-race meal provided by Freshies and a prize drawing. The start and finish area is located at the Spring Creek Trail Gazebo.
