The Southern Freeze 50/50 is a winter urban running event in Columbus, GA, with courses that run along the Columbus and Phenix City Riverwalks beside the Chattahoochee River. The event starts and finishes at Scofflaw Brewing in Columbus. The route passes local landmarks such as the world’s longest urban whitewater course, Columbus State University, The National Infantry Museum, and Golden Park. Aid stations will provide food items such as chicken and dumplings, sweet tea, grilled cheese, and cookies, and hydration options including Coke, water, and CeraSport. Every entrant receives a T-shirt and a beanie; all finishers receive a race medal. A special award is given to the first overall finisher in each event.
