#onemileatatime 12 Hour Challenge

The event is the sixth annual #onemileatatime presented by Revolution Running. In 2026 the format changed from a 24 hour event to a 12 hour event and it will be held at Oxbow Meadows in Columbus, GA. The course is a paved 1 mile loop; competitors may run anywhere from one loop up to a maximum of 50 miles if they complete the final lap.

The race uses a Last Man Standing style format. Runners must complete each 1 mile loop within a 15 minute window. Once a loop is finished the runner cannot begin the next loop until the 15 minutes have elapsed. A runner must be present in the start corral when the bell sounds to continue; failure to be present results in elimination. After the first ten hours the allowed lap time is reduced progressively, and the final lap is decided by the fastest lap among remaining competitors.

The main aid station supplies water and electrolytes only. Participants may set up personal tents at the course and are expected to provide their own food, supplies, and crew. Prize money for top male and female finishers is tiered by field size: $250 each at 75 runners, $500 each at 100 runners, and $1000 each at 125 runners. Registration closes Wed, Jun 17 at 11:59 PM ET. The event offers a 100 percent refund until three months before the race date; after that there are no refunds.
