The event is an orienteering meeting held at Pippingford Park, off the A22 south of Wych Cross (postcode TN22 3HW, GPS 51.0537, 0.0492). Registration is online only in advance and entries close on 17 January. There is a parking charge of £3 and parking is mainly on grass adjacent to hard standing. Portaloos are available near the enquiries hut. There is no provision for food or drinks. Competitors must adhere to the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct.

  • White - 2.0 km; controls on or adjacent to paths.
  • Yellow - 2.5 km; easy controls, mostly on paths.
  • Orange - 3.0 km; some route choice, near paths.
  • Light Green - 3.5 km; away from paths, requires good navigation.
  • Very Short Green - 3.0 km.
  • Short Green - 3.5 km.
  • Green - 4.5 km.
  • Short Blue - 5.5 km.
  • Blue - 6.5 km.
  • Short Brown - 8.0 km.
  • Brown - 9.5 km.
  • Black - 11.0 km.

Electronic punching is used, with contactless SIAC activation for those with compatible cards. SI card hire is available: Standard £1, SIAC £2.50. Control descriptions are printed on the map and loose descriptions are available in the start lanes. After finishing, competitors proceed to Download where splits printouts are handed out and hired dibbers are returned. Course lengths are straight-line estimates; actual distance will be greater.
