It includes sections through a nature reserve with lakeside views, gently undulating shore paths and a shorter, hilly section on quiet lanes. There is a 4 hour time limit for the 15 mile route. The 5 mile route follows the first 2.5 miles of the 15 mile course before returning along the same route and is entirely off road.

Advance entry prices are listed at approximately £36–£38 for the 15 mile and £20–£22 for the 5 mile; on-the-day fees are listed separately at higher rates. Age limits are 18+ for the 15 mile and 15+ for the 5 mile. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and a commemorative Bewl t-shirt; trophies are awarded to leading runners and free parking is offered when weather permits.
