Sonoita Vineyards Wine Run 5K

Sonoita Vineyards in Elgin, Arizona hosts an annual running event at the winery on February 13, 2027. The vineyard is described as the oldest commercial vineyard and winery in Arizona, started in 1974 and opened in 1983, with over 30 acres of vines. It sits near 5,000 feet elevation amid rolling grasslands and surrounding mountain ranges.

The event offers multiple route options and two start waves. The main course is a two-lap 5K that begins and finishes at the winery and includes some significant inclines. A shorter 1.5 Mile walk follows the same route and allows participants to stop after one lap and return to the winery. The 5K is chip timed and the event is timed and scored by J3 Timing; results are posted online.

Registration for the run includes a super soft ring spun cotton t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a race bib for chip timing, and a pour of wine after the run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
