Sonoita Vineyards Wine Run 5k

The Sonoita Vineyards Wine Run is a chip timed 5k run and walk held at Sonoita Vineyards in Elgin, Arizona on February 13, 2027. The course starts and finishes at the winery and runs through the vineyard.

The route is two laps and includes some areas with uneven footing and a few challenging inclines. Runners and walkers may complete one lap and notify the timer to switch to the 1.5 mile division.

Registered participants receive a super soft ring spun cotton T shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, and a race bib. Results are posted online and the event includes a pour of wine. Minors may participate with a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal, and bib but not a wine glass or wine pour. Children in strollers can participate for free and do not need to register; strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground. Dogs are not allowed on site because USDA rules restrict animals on this produce and vegetable farm.

The event offers age group awards for the top three finishers in each ten year category: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over. Age group winners must start with the first group to be eligible. Age group medals are available for pickup the day of the event and will not be shipped.

Packet pickup is available Friday February 12, 2027 from 5 00 to 7 00 pm at the winery. Pickup for another participant is allowed with their QR code. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
