Smith Rock Classic
Smith Rock Classic is a spring trail race day held on May 29, 2027, at Skull Hollow near Terrebonne, Oregon. The event offers multiple distances that travel through Smith Rock State Park, Gray Butte areas, and the Crooked River Grasslands, with views of basalt cliffs, canyon trails, and the Cascade range.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 50 mile
- 50K
- 10 mile
Race morning check in is at Skull Hollow and bib pickup begins an hour before the start of each race. Registration fees vary by entry period for each distance, with incremental price increases as the event approaches; registrations by April 26 are guaranteed shirt size.
Lodging options include a partnered hotel in downtown Redmond about 10 miles from the park, with a discounted rate available through the partner. Additional accommodations are available in Redmond, Madras, and Bend with approximate drive times of 20, 30, and 45 minutes respectively. The nearest airport is Redmond (RDM); Portland (PDX) is about 2.5 hours away.
Post race provisions include a burrito bar and beer from selected breweries. All finishers receive a custom award and the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers in each race receive prizes.
