Smith Rock Classic, held at Skull Hollow near Terrebonne, Oregon, showcases Smith Rock State Park’s basalt cliffs and Cascade views during spring ultramarathons. Runners choose between 50 miles (two 25-mile loops), 50K, and 10 miles, traversing park trails and Crooked River Grasslands beyond the boundary for high-desert scenery. The 50-mile course features 7,500 feet of gain/loss, 80% single-track and 20% gravel road, with eight full aid stations; the 50K about 4,500 feet with four aid stations; the 10M climbs Gray Butte for panoramic vistas. Special features include live streaming/tracking, post-race meals and Cascade Lakes beer, awards, and a Ridgeview High School XC beneficiary.
