Skunk Ape’s Revenge 60k / 30k : Green Swamp West Tract

This trail event on February 14, 2026 takes place at the Green Swamp - West Tract near Dade City, FL (13347 Ranch Road, 33525). Distances offered:

The course covers varied Florida terrain: pasture lanes, dirt roads, single-track sections on the Florida Trail, some hills, sugar sand, fire berms and open fields. Course marking includes pink flagging, "turn here" arrow signs with self-correcting info, glow sticks and tape. Aid stations are placed approximately every 3 to 5 miles and offer items such as pickle pops, soda, pickles, chips, snacks, cookies, produce, electrolyte powder, band-aids and women's hygiene products.

Race logistics include a single drop bag zone at the Berm Aid Station (participants will pass it twice). Drop bags must be labelled and kept roughly the size of a drawstring bag; they are returned to the Start/Finish after the aid station packs up. Pacers are not permitted for the 30K; 60K participants may have pacers for the final 30K loop. Crews may not access aid stations by vehicle; biking or running in is allowed and crew vehicles must remain parked behind the gate or at campsites.

The event hosts awards for the top four men and women overall and finisher hats; 30K Ruck finishers receive a hat plus a special patch. The 30K Ruck requires a ruck sack only with a civilian weight standard of 20 lb if under 150 lb and 30 lb if over 150 lb. Camping is free at Green Swamp with a reservation required through the managing agency. A pet food drive for a local charity is part of the event.
