Event overview

Skunk Ape's Revenge is a trail running event on February 14, 2026, at the Green Swamp - West Tract in Dade City, Florida. The event offers the following distances:

• 30K
• 30K Ruck

Awards include top four men and women overall. Finisher awards include hats; 30K Ruck finishers receive a hat and a special patch. The event hosts a pet food drive for Cindy's Pets. The race is part of the Skunk Ape Trail Series, which links this event with three other Skunk Ape races.

Course and logistics

The course follows the same layout as the Skunk Ape Night Run but held in daylight. Terrain includes pasture lanes, dirt roads, single-track sections on the Florida Trail, some hills, sugar sand, and fire berms. Course marking uses pink flagging, arrow signs, glow sticks, and tape. Key course features include crossings of Cumpressco Road and Ranch Road, a bridge, a Big Foot BSA campsite near 3 miles, a berm loop around miles 9-11, and a final grass horse-trail section into open fields.

Aid stations occur every 3 to 5 miles and provide items such as Pickle Pops, soda, pickles, gummy snacks, chips, cookies, produce, powdered electrolytes, band-aids, and women’s hygiene products. One drop bag zone is at the Berm Aid Station; bags must be labeled and will be returned to start/finish after that station packs up. Pacers are not allowed for the 30K; 60K runners may have pacers for the final 30K loop. Camping is free in the Green Swamp with a required reservation through the Southwest Florida Water Management District. The event follows ATRA, ITRA, and IAU guidelines.
