The course uses a mix of pasture lanes, dirt roads, single track on the Florida Trail, sugar sand, fire berms, and short hills. Route marking includes pink flagging and directional arrow signs; additional markers such as glow sticks and tape are used on some sections. Aid stations are placed every 3 to 5 miles and are stocked with items such as Pickle Pops, pickle juice, soda, chips, snacks, cookies, produce, gummy candies, electrolyte powder, and basic first aid and women’s hygiene supplies.
Finishers receive hats; other giveaways include stickers and event merchandise. Overall awards are presented to the top four men and top four women. The 30K Ruck has specific weight requirements based on participant weight and must be completed with a ruck sack only; discount codes are provided for military, law enforcement, firefighters, and veterans.
Logistics notes: there is one drop bag zone at the Berm Aid Station; drop bags must be labeled and will be returned to the start area after the aid station packs up. Camping is free in the Green Swamp with a required reservation displayed at the campground. The event supports a local pet food drive for Cindy’s Pets and follows standards from ATRA, ITRA, and IAU.
