Course
The course is the same route used for the Skunk Ape Night Run, run during daytime. Terrain includes pasture lanes, muck, dirt roads, single-track on the Florida Trail, hills, sugar sand, and fire berms. The route description notes a start area between Ranch Road and Cumpresso Road, runs along Cumpresso and Rangers Landing Road to the Big Foot BSA campsite near 3 miles, then returns to join the Florida Trail. The course crosses Cumpresso and Ranch roads, follows Cedar Pocket Road and a fire berm loop (mile 9 to 11), and finishes via a grass horse trail and open-field loops back to Ranch Road.
Aid, ruck rules, camping and logistics
Aid stations are placed every 3 to 5 miles and stock items such as Pickle Pops, soda, pickles, candies, chips, snacks, cookies, produce, powdered electrolytes, band-aids and women’s hygiene products. There is one drop-bag zone at the Berm Aid Station; it is visited twice and drop bags must be labeled and limited in size. Pacers are not allowed for the 30K; 60K pacers may join for the final 30K loop. Aid stations do not allow vehicle crew access; crew vehicles must remain parked. Camping is free in the Green Swamp with picnic tables and fire rings or grills; a free reservation is required and must be displayed. A pet food drive for Cindy’s Pets runs with the event. Coupon codes are provided for military and public-safety participants for the 30K Ruck. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
