Course and race logistics

The course uses a mix of pasture lanes, mud, dirt roads, single-track on the Florida Trail, sugar sand, fire berms, grassy horse trails, creek crossings, and some hills. Key route features named in the course description include Cumpressco Road, Rangers Landing Road, Big Foot BSA campsite, the Florida Trail sections, Cedar Pocket Road, the Berm loop, and a final series of open-field loops to the finish. Aid stations are placed every 3 to 5 miles and are stocked with soda, pickles, chips, snacks, cookies, produce, powdered electrolyte drink, and some sweets; band-aids and women’s hygiene products are available at aid stations. One drop bag zone is available at the Berm Aid Station and will be returned to the Start/Finish after that aid station closes. Course marking uses reflective tape with pink flagging and turn signs. The event follows ATRA, ITRA, and IAU guidelines for trail running standards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
