The Skeetawk Scramble is a three day mountain running event held at Skeetawk Ski Area in the Hatcher Pass Recreation Area near Palmer, AK. The weekend includes multiple races that start and finish at Skeetawk and use trails such as Frostbite Ridge and routes over Government Peak and Hatcher Pass.

Distances and key facts:

Course surfaces include cat tracks, single track with rock and mud, large slabs, shale on descent sections, and some asphalt approaches. Notable sections named in the route are Halibut Tail, April Bowl, Summit Lake, Marmot ridge, Gold Cord Trail, and the Hatcher Pass Lodge area.

Cutoffs for the 37K course are given by elapsed time at key locations: Summit Lake (2.5 hours), Top of Marmot (4 hours), Hatcher Pass Lodge (5.5 hours), and Finish (8 hours). A low-key trail event near Palmer, AK where runners repeat five mile or optional 2.5 mile loops over an eight hour period; varied terrain and muddy conditions are expected and proceeds support the Mat-Su Sentinel.

A backyard ultra at Government Peak Recreation Area near Hatcher Pass where runners repeat a 4.167 mile loop each hour until one person remains. The course uses single track and ski trails and the field is limited to 75 runners.
