Singing River Runs - Mooresville, AL

The Singing River Runs is the fourth annual event benefitting the Singing River Trail and takes place on April 11, 2026 in Mooresville, Alabama. The event includes the following distances:

  • 25K
  • 10K
  • 5K

The courses begin and end at the Singing River House and run through 1818 Farms, along the river, and back. Routes use packed dirt and gravel roads and are shaded by trees. The organizer describes the trail project as a 200+ mile greenway system intended to connect the region, celebrate Native American heritage, provide education opportunities, and support economic and tourism development in North Alabama.

Parking is available along Old Highway 20, about 0.2 miles from the start/finish area. All participants receive a special award; overall male and female winners and masters winners in each distance receive special awards. Age-group awards are given in ten-year divisions for both men and women.

The race is held in conjunction with the Blue Heron Hundreds, which includes a 100 mile, 100K, and 50K, and participants can stay after the shorter races for music, snacks, and to watch the longer-distance runners. Sponsors listed include Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama and REI Sports. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
