Alabama A&M 5K Trail Race

The Alabama A&M 5K Trail Race takes place at the Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve in Huntsville, Alabama. This event is part of the Huntsville Track Club Grand Prix and is held on Land Trust Trails that are shared with Alabama A&M University on Chapman Mountain.

The course features multiple types of terrain, including:

The event is held at the Land Trust of North Alabama. Participants can collect their race packets on the Friday before the event at Runninglane or at the race site under the pavilion on the morning of the race. Registration is free for Huntsville Track Club members.

The event has a participant cap due to limited parking at the Chapman Mountain parking area. To reach the location from Moore's Mill Road, participants should stay in the far right merge lane while traveling up the mountain on Highway 72 West and turn right after the guard rail ends.
