Firecracker 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run

The Firecracker 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Huntsville, Alabama. The event address is 15001 Bailey Cove Rd.

The event includes two certified distances: a 5K and a 1 Mile run. The 5K starts at Morningside Church and uses the Aldridge Creek Greenway for an out-and-back course with one aid station at the turnaround. The 1-mile course is described as point-to-point with no hills or turns. Registration opens on January 1st, and the race has sold out in the past, with plans to adjust the course to accommodate more participants.

Packet pick-up is available at Fleet Feet Huntsville on Thursday, July 3rd, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Race day packet pick-up is at Morningside Church from 6:00 AM to 6:45 AM. Child care is provided by the church from 6:45 AM to 9:00 AM.
