The Human Potential Running Series presents the Silverheels Trail Runs on July 10-11, 2026 in Como, Colorado. The event offers multiple distances:

Start/finish facilities are based at the Como Roundhouse in Como, CO. The 100k and 100-Mile start at the Burning Bear Trailhead in Grant, CO. Runner capacity is limited: 100 combined for the 100-Mile and 100k, and 200 combined for the 50-Mile, 60k, 19-Mile, and 10-Mile. Official finish awards: a belt buckle for all official 100-Mile finishers and finisher medals for other distances.

Course, logistics and requirements

Courses run at high elevation, averaging over 10,000 feet; the 100-Mile average elevation is just over 10,800 feet. Terrain includes single track trails, fire roads, and some dirt road, passing high alpine and sub-alpine meadows, aspen groves, historic mining sites, and multiple national forest ranger districts. The 100k is a 100% point-to-point route; the 100-Mile comprises 83 non-repetitive miles through three ranger districts of two US National Forests.

Qualification rules apply: 100-Mile entrants must show prior completion of a 100-mile official ultramarathon at any time or a 50-mile official ultramarathon within specified dates. 100k entrants must show a 50-mile official ultramarathon within specified dates. 100-Mile entrants also must complete eight hours of certified volunteer service in a set window or pay a buy-out fee. Drop bags, crew, and pacer policies vary by distance and designated aid stations. Camping is available for a separate fee and is not included with race entry.
