Run the Rockies Trail is a trail race in Frisco, Colorado, held on Saturday, August 8, 2026. The event offers three distances:

  • Half marathon

Races start and finish at the Frisco Nordic Center on the Frisco Peninsula. Courses run on single-track and dirt road trails with views of Dillon Reservoir and the Ten Mile Range. For 2026, courses will run counter clockwise on the Perimeter Trail and include a lakeshore finish for all distances.

Race details

Pre-registration opens February 6, 2026 and closes August 6, 2026. A hat is guaranteed only for racers who register before July 1, 2026. Registration fees include a well-marked course, stocked aid stations, professional chip timing, post-race food, post-race beer for participants 21 and older, and a commemorative gift. Packet and bib pick-up is held inside Slopeside Hall the day before and the morning of the race; participants must complete an online waiver to receive a bib.

Timing is provided by a professional service and races are chip-timed. The 10k and half marathon have a 10:30am cut-off for official finish times. Aid stations: the 10k has two (miles 1.4 and 3.9), the half marathon has three (miles 3.1, 8.3, 10.9), and the 5k has none.
