Run The Rockies Trail Race

Frisco, United States • 8 Aug 2026

Run the Rockies Trail 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon

The Run the Rockies Trail races offer three distances on the Frisco Peninsula trails, with sustained views of Dillon Reservoir and the Ten Mile Range. The courses combine single track and dirt road trail surfaces and finish along the lakeshore of Dillon Reservoir. All races start and finish at the Frisco Nordic Center.

The course will be well marked with pink flagging and directional arrows. Course marshals will staff crucial junctions and aid stations. Professional chip timing is provided and results are recorded. The 10k and half marathon have a cut off time; racers finishing after that time will not receive an official time.

Aid station coverage:

  • 10k runners: aid stations at miles 1.4 and 3.9.
  • Half marathon runners: aid stations at miles 3.1, 8.3, and 10.9.
  • 5k runners: no aid stations; racers are encouraged to carry personal hydration.

Registration for the 2026 races is open and pre registration is encouraged; the event may sell out. Packet pickup is available before race day at Slopeside Hall and on the morning of the race for registered participants. Registration fees include a marked course, stocked aid stations, professional timing, post race food, and post race beer for participants 21 and older. All racers receive a commemorative gift.

Races take place on Town of Frisco and US Forest Service trails; strollers and pets are not permitted. Participants run at their own risk and may encounter mountain terrain, weather, and wildlife. Refunds are not available. Runners are asked to use one earbud if listening to music so they can hear other trail users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
