SHEastern States Weekend is a three-day women's running camp in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, held April 30 - May 3, 2026. The program uses the Eastern States course and includes guided trail runs, evening clinics or fireside chats, lodging, meals, and group transportation for the full weekend. Registration opens January 4, 2026, and the fee is $100, which covers lodging, meals, and transportation. Space is limited and registrations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Schedule, accommodations and required gear

Activities take place at Ponderosa Lodge & Golf and on nearby trails in the PA Wilds. The lodge sits on 235 acres and offers cabin-style lodging with 9 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, a commercial kitchen, fireplace, loft, ping pong and foosball, and an outdoor patio. Participants are asked to bring their own bedding and not to bring or consume alcoholic beverages at the lodge.

  • 13.7 mile run
  • 20.4 mile run
  • 10 mile group run

Runners will stay in no-drop groups and receive .gpx files for each route; a hard-copy map of the Eastern States course can also be provided. Required gear includes a pack or belt, at least 1 liter hydration, fuel including electrolytes, extra warmth, an emergency blanket, personal medications, and a proper light and extra batteries for the night run. Trail runs nearby

Run under the stars at Icicles on the Moon, a night trail event at Zindel Park in Lock Haven on December 27, 2025. Choose a 7 mile or 5K route around the reservoir, bring a headlamp, and help fund Zindel property revitalization.

The Frozen Snot is a winter trail race on Bald Eagle Mountain near Lock Haven PA with 8.3 and 13.5 mile courses. Expect rugged technical terrain, steep climbs, icy or muddy conditions and bring traction gear for a true cold challenge.

Fire on the Rocks is a rugged 10K trail at Zindel Park near McElhattan, PA, with about 1,400 feet of climbing across challenging singletrack. Limited to 400 runners, the intermediate course finishes with scenic views and sticky buns.

Climb rugged single track through streams and sweeping vistas at the Hyner View Trail Challenge, featuring a punchy 25K and a gutsy 50K with big vertical and technical terrain. Fields are limited, registration opens in May.
