Slate Run Trail Race
The event takes place in the remote and rugged Tiadaghton State Forest in Slate Run, Pennsylvania. The trail courses are located in the Algerine Wild Area and Red Run sections of the Black Forest Trail. The terrain features technical single track, streams, and vistas.
Distances
- 25K (approx. 15.5 miles)
- Half Marathon (approx. 13.1 miles)
Both distances share the same trail for the first 9 miles. At the Manor Fork camps, Half Marathon runners will follow a road to the final aid station and then to the finish line. 25K runners will continue on a trail along a streambed and up the Old Supply Trail.
There is a time-based cut-off for all participants at the 9-mile point near Manor Fork cabins. Runners must reach this point by 12:00 PM (noon). Those who do not will be directed onto the Half Marathon course. Half Marathon runners must pass the Manor Camp intersection by 1:00 PM. Registration is limited to the first 250 participants or until May 20th, whichever comes first. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
