Slate Run Trail Race
This is a trail event near Slate Run, Pennsylvania, held in Tiadaghton State Forest. The course runs through the Algerine Wild Area and the Red Run sections of the Black Forest Trail and features technical single track, stream crossings, and scenic vistas.
Both distances follow the same trail for the first nine miles. At the Manor Fork camps, Half Marathon runners will follow the road to the final aid station and then the finish. 25K runners continue on trail along the streambed and then climb Old Supply Trail. The cut-off for the nine-mile section is 12 noon; that section is described as nine miles in three hours with one large hill and otherwise runnable terrain. After 12 noon, all participants will be directed onto the Half course. Half Marathon runners must pass the Manor Camp intersection by 1pm or be removed from the course. In 2025, all participants met the 1pm cut-off.
Registration opens December 16 at 8pm via Ultrasignup. The field is limited to the first 250 runners or until May 20, whichever occurs first. Registration closes Wed, May 20 at 11:59PM ET. Event policies state there are no refunds, no deferrals, no switches, and no bandits. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
