Slate Run Trail Race : 25K and Half Marathon in Tiadaghton State Forest
The Slate Run Trail Race is the 8th annual running of a trail event held in Tiadaghton State Forest near Slate Run, PA. The course goes through the Algerine Wild Area and the Red Run sections of the Black Forest Trail and includes technical single track, multiple stream crossings, and prominent vistas.
Both distances follow the same trail for the first nine miles. At the Manor Fork camps the courses split: Half Marathon runners follow the road to the final aid station and then to the finish, while 25K runners continue on the trail along the streambed and ascend Old Supply Trail. The nine mile section has a published cut-off at 12 noon; after that time all participants will be directed onto the Half Marathon course. A further cut-off requires Half Marathon runners to pass the Manor Camp intersection by 1pm or they will be removed from the course.
Registration opens December 16, 2025 via UltraSignup. Entry is limited and the event is open to runners and hikers. The organizer states there are no refunds, no deferrals, no switches, and no bandits. Course maps and race day details are provided by the organizer.
