Slate Run Trail Race (June 5, 2027)
The Slate Run Trail Race is a fallow-area trail event in Slate Run, PA, held in the Tiadaghton State Forest. The race offers two distance options and follows sections of the Black Forest Trail through the Algerine Wild Area and Red Run, featuring technical single track, stream crossings, and scenic vistas.
Both distances follow the same trail for the first nine miles. At the Manor Fork camps the routes diverge: Half Marathon runners follow the road toward the final aid station and then the finish, while 25K runners continue along a streambed and ascend Old Supply Trail. The nine-mile section has a cut-off at 12 noon; half marathon runners must be through the Manor Camp intersection by 1pm or they will be removed from the course. In 2025, all participants met the 1pm cut-off.
Registration opens December 16, 2026 at 8:00 PM ET and the field is limited to the first 225 runners or hikers, or until May 20th, whichever comes first. Entry policies state there are no refunds, no deferrals, no switches, and no bandits. The event is organized by PA Trail Dogs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
