Slate Run Trail Race
The event takes place June 5, 2027 in Slate Run, Pennsylvania, and offers two trail distances: a 25K and a Half Marathon.
The course runs through Tiadaghton State Forest and uses sections of the Black Forest Trail, including the Algerine Wild Area and Red Run. Runners will encounter technical single-track, stream crossings, and notable vistas along the route.
Both distances share the same trail for the first nine miles. At the Manor Fork camp intersection half marathon runners follow the road to the final aid station and then to the finish. 25K runners continue on trail beside the streambed and climb Old Supply Trail. The nine-mile section has a cut-off at 12 noon; runners who arrive after that point will be directed onto the half course. Half marathon entrants must pass the Manor Camp intersection by 1pm or they will be removed from the course.
Registration opens December 16, 2026 at 8:00 PM ET via UltraSignup. The field is limited to the first 225 runners or until May 20, whichever occurs first. Event policies state there are no refunds, no deferrals, no switches, and no bandits. Organizers emphasize that the mile 9 cut-off at the Manor Fork cabins is strictly enforced.
