Sewanee Slammer - October 17, 2026
The Sewanee Slammer is a 20-mile loop run on the Perimeter Trail at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. The route runs atop the bluffs of the Cumberland Plateau and passes overlooks, geologic features, lakes and ponds, and upland deciduous forest.
The race starts and finishes at the Mountain Goat Visitor Center in the Sewanee Village. Parking is available at the Visitor Center and in grassy areas behind the Visitor Center. There are three aid stations located at miles 5.3, 10.5, and 14.06.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Shenanigans - Sewanee and on race day at the start/finish area. Race shirts are a cotton blend unisex style and are guaranteed for participants who register by September 27. Registration rates listed in the event materials are $85 through September 30 and $95 after that date; registration closes October 15.
Ten percent of race proceeds are designated for the Perimeter Trail Fund. The event includes a post race gathering at Shenanigans - Sewanee with food and beverages and plans to show part of the Bama versus UT game.
