Sedin vs. Sedin takes place at Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver, British Columbia, on 27 September 2026. The event opens with a head to head race between two well-known hockey players up the Grouse Grind trail, followed by participant climbs organized by team.
Participants are randomly assigned to Team Daniel or Team Henrik and learn their assignment during bib pick-up the week before the event. The overall team winner is based on three components: the head to head showdown, the average of the top 50 Grouse Grind times from each team, and total fundraising by event day. Individual prizes will also be awarded.
The mountaintop program includes a live DJ, a BBQ and an awards ceremony. Registration includes a commemorative race bib with timing chip, entry into a prize draw, complimentary bag transfer from the start line to the mountaintop, and an aid station at the finish with hydration and snacks. Event registration profits are donated to the Sedin Family Foundation, which supports children's health, education and family wellness programs in British Columbia.
The event is cupless to reduce waste; participants should carry a refillable hydration vessel.
