This is a self-navigation trail race. Participants receive a written route description on the day. There are no course markings, marshals, or GPX files, and the event is not a mass start. Runners will be timed out and back in at the finish. The route includes a secret destination where participants must solve a cryptic clue to earn time bonuses and stop for a refreshment. On the route participants will look for Santas and chocolate. Prizes may be awarded for quirky dress, behaviour, and sense of humour.

Safety and entries

As this is a night trail, participants must wear hi-viz clothing, carry a head torch or torch, and have a mobile phone.
