Scarface Mountain Trail Run : Usery Mountain Regional Park
The Scarface Mountain Trail Run is scheduled for January 9, 2027, at the Trailhead Staging Area inside Usery Mountain Regional Park in Mesa, Arizona. The event includes multiple trail distances and adds a 20k for the first time in 2027.

The organizer will donate 100% of registration fees to charity, split evenly between Mesa United Way-Foster360 and the Charitable Foundation of the Rotary Club of Mesa. Packet pickup is set for Friday, January 8; the precise pickup location is to be determined. Race shirts are provided at packet pickup.
Awards are planned for top finishers: prizes for the top male and female in the 20k, 10k, and 5k, and trophies for the top three male and female finishers in those distances. All finishers receive a finisher pint glass and a finish line photo, with an option to purchase additional race photos.
The course runs through desert trails near Pass Mountain, locally called Scarface Mountain, and includes a section on Blevins Trail. The site has local Wild West history dating to 1892 when two men reportedly hid the spoils of a stagecoach robbery on the land. A Cowboy Outlaw Runner Costume Contest will be held, with a prize for the best costume. If a runner recovers and returns any lost silver, a reward will be offered.
