SBT TRL - Steamboat Springs Running Series
SBT TRL is a trail run on the singletrack trails of historic Howelsen Hill in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The event is held in conjunction with the SBT GRVL bike event and uses winding singletrack, meadow crossings, and varied trail surfaces.
Distances:
- 5K
- 10K
Both distances start from the same location and share much of the early course. The 5K covers about 3 miles with roughly 650 feet of climbing, with most climbing occurring in the first 1.5 miles. The 10K is a lollipop loop of about 6 miles with approximately 1,275 feet of climbing; most climbing is within the first 2.7 miles. The 10K route includes an aid station near the quarry area.
Packet pickup is available Friday, June 26 at Routt County Search & Rescue (911 Yampa St.) and on race day near the start/finish outside Olympian Hall. Registration categories include standard 5K and 10K fees, a youth rate for those 17 and under, and separate fees for race-day registration. T-shirts are available for an additional fee and may not be guaranteed after June 20.
Pets are not recommended on the course due to narrow trails and concurrent bicycle activity; any pets at the finish must be leashed per city park rules. There are post-race awards and a community celebration at Little Toots Park, including prizes for top finishers and a raffle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
