The Hahns Peak Vertical Trail Race is an 8-mile out-and-back trail run held annually in North Routt County, Colorado, starting at the Hahns Peak Quarry Lot near Clark, CO. The challenging course ascends 2,200 feet over 4 miles to the summit of Hahns Peak, an extinct volcano with an elevation of 10,839 feet, featuring a historic 1912 fire lookout tower and panoramic 360-degree views. The trail includes jeep roads, single track, and a steep talus slope near the summit, requiring caution. The race benefits Steamboat Springs High School Track & Field and Cross Country programs.
