The Snow Globe Gallop Bobble Hat Run - North is organised by Saturn Running and takes place in December 2026 at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Lane, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU. Course, distances and facilities

The course is a signed trail along the River Wear with views of Durham Cathedral. A full lap is listed as 4.37 miles / 7 km, with a possible change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on conditions. There are 3k and 5k turn points within the lap. Laps required for standard distances are given in the event details (for example, 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon, 7+ for an ultra).

Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal and a bobble hat; distance pins are given for half-marathon distance and above. There is an aid/drinks table at the start/finish of each lap with savoury and sweet options and vegan choices. Toilets and changing facilities are provided at race HQ. A bag drop is available but is unstaffed and items are left at participants' risk. Nearby parking is free on-street or pay-and-display in the city centre. Headphones are allowed.
