The Snow Globe Gallop Bobble Hat Run - Wales

This event is a Christmas themed running event held at Dare Valley Country Park in Aberdare. It is organised by Saturn Running and offers a 7 hour Time Challenge format in which participants choose how many laps to complete. The course uses well maintained footpaths around the country park and includes 3k and 5k turn points within the lap. The regular lap length is given as 7 km (4.37 miles) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions and safety review.

Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a bobble hat, a running buff and a themed medal. Distance pins are available for half marathon distance and above and pins are attached to the medal ribbon to indicate achievement. A goody bag is provided to finishers with a vegan goody bag option.

Facilities at the venue include toilets, a nearby cafe and free parking. There is an aid table and drinks table at the start and finish of each lap offering drinks and a selection of snacks with vegan options. There is a non secure bag drop area. Bone conducting headphones only are allowed. Members receive a £10 lower entry price, guaranteed entry and a mini pin at each event. The course may be adjusted after a health and safety review.
