The Snow Globe Gallop Bobble Hat Run - Wales
The Snow Globe Gallop Bobble Hat Run is a seasonal event organised by Saturn Too Limited at Dare Valley Country Park, Aberdare CF44 7PS on 20 December 2026. The event is a Christmas Carol themed bobble hat run where finishers receive a themed medal, a bobble hat and a running buff. A goody bag is provided to finishers, with a vegan goody bag available.
The event includes a 7 hour Time Challenge that allows participants to choose their distance. The minimum distance is 3 km, which is part of a lap. A full lap is listed as 7 km (4.37 miles) but may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. Lap counts for standard distances are given: 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon, 7 or more for an ultra. A 50 km distance is also available.

The course runs on well maintained footpaths around Dare Valley Country Park with views of the surrounding countryside. Aid and drinks tables are available at the start and finish of each lap with savoury and sweet options and vegan choices. Toilets and a cafe are available at the venue. Free parking is provided. Bone conducting headphones only are permitted. Membership offers a £10 lower entry price on the lowest available fee and guarantees entry plus a mini medal pin at events.
