Event Details

The Doughnut Dash - Wales is a running event at Dare Valley Country Park in Aberdare. It is organized by Saturn Too Limited.

Course and Format

The event uses a 7-hour Time Challenge format. Participants run a lap-based course to achieve their chosen distance. The standard lap is approximately 4.37 miles (7km), but this is subject to change to a 3.28 mile loop. The minimum distance to complete is 3km to be considered an official finisher. The route is on well-maintained footpaths within the country park. The event has a 3k and a 5k turn point within the lap.

There are specific UK Athletics age restrictions for each distance. The final course may change based on a health and safety review.

Facilities and Perks

All finishers receive a themed medal and a goody bag, with a vegan option available. An aid station at the start/finish area provides drinks, snacks (savory and sweet, including vegan options), and ice cream. Participants who complete a half-marathon or longer can collect a distance pin.

Venue facilities include toilets and a café. Free parking is available on-site. There is an unofficial bag drop area, but it is not secure.

Rules and Notes

Only bone-conducting headphones are permitted. The event is held on public footpaths, and runners are asked to be considerate of other users.
