Spice Up Your Run - Wales is a 7 hour Time Challenge held at Dare Valley Country Park, Aberdare (CF44 7PS). The event allows participants to choose their distance, with a minimum of 3 km. A full lap is listed as 7 km (4.37 miles) and may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The lap includes 3 km and 5 km turn points to help comply with UK Athletics age rules. Medals are awarded to finishers who complete at least 3 km; distance pins are given for half-marathon, mega-half, marathon, 50 km and ultra achievements. The event notes that fancy dress is optional and encouraged.

Course, facilities and practical info

The course runs on well maintained footpaths around Dare Valley Country Park and offers countryside views. Aid and drinks tables are located at the start/finish of each lap with drinks, savoury and sweet snacks and vegan options. Finishers receive a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is available. Venue facilities include toilets and a café; there are no separate changing facilities or showers. Free parking is provided. There is a non-secure bag drop area. Bone conducting headphones only are allowed. The event is organised by Saturn Too Limited. Final instructions are sent by email 7-10 days before the event and race numbers are collected on the day at registration.
