Saturn Running - Aberdare

Aberdare, United Kingdom • 3 Oct 2026

Doughnut Dash - Wales

The event is a seven hour Time Challenge held at Dare Valley Country Park in Aberdare. Runners choose how many laps to complete within the time limit; the minimum recorded distance for a finisher is 3km. The loop is described as 4.37 miles or 7km but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. There are 3k and 5k turn points within the lap to allow younger competitors to meet UK Athletics distance rules. Course surfaces are well maintained footpaths with views of the surrounding countryside.

Prizes and provisions include a themed finisher medal for anyone completing at least 3km, distance pins for half-marathon distance and above, a goody bag with a vegan option, and doughnuts available at the finish. An aid table and drinks table are provided at the start and finish of each lap with a range of drinks and savoury and sweet snacks, including vegan options and ice cream.

Facilities at the venue include toilets and a nearby cafe; there are no separate changing rooms or showers. Free parking is available. Bone conducting headphones only are permitted. A bag drop area is provided but it is not secure. Final race instructions are sent by email in the week before the event and race numbers are collected on the day at registration. The event is organised by Saturn Too Limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
