San Mateo PAL's 5K & 10K Run/Walk and Wellness Fair

San Mateo PAL, in collaboration with Stride for Awareness, hosts a community event focused on supporting health and mental wellness. Held at the Coyote Point Recreation Area in San Mateo, California, this event combines athletic activities with a wellness gathering to educate the community about diverse health resources.

Participants can choose from the following distances:

  • 5K Run/Walk
  • 10K Run

The 5K event is open to both runners and walkers. Strollers and dogs are permitted in this category, provided participants remain mindful of others. The 10K event is designated for runners only. All registered participants for both the 5K and 10K receive a race t-shirt and a finishers medal as part of their registration fee.

In addition to the physical races, a Wellness Fair takes place at the same location. The fair includes various community, health, and wellness vendors. Attendance at the Wellness Fair is free for all event guests, and access is automatically included for those participating in the runs.

The event supports group participation through various team types, including friends and family, team building, and student or youth groups. A prize is awarded to the team lead with the highest number of participating members on the day of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
