Event Overview

The event is a combination of a running/walking event and a wellness fair, organized by San Mateo PAL in collaboration with Stride for Awareness. It takes place at Coyote Point Recreation Area in San Mateo.

Distances

The event offers two running/walking distances:

Event Details

Registration is available in adult and youth (or student under 21) categories for each distance. The 5K youth registration fee is $15 and the adult fee is $45. The 10K youth registration fee is $20 and the adult fee is $50. A race T-shirt is included with registration for the run/walk events.

The course goes through Coyote Point Park. Strollers and dogs are permitted, with a note to be mindful of other participants.

All run/walk participants receive automatic access to the Wellness Fair, which runs concurrently at the same location. The fair is free for all attendees and features community, health, and wellness vendors. The event is described as a community gathering focused on supporting health and mental wellness awareness.

Trail runs nearby

Redtail Ridge at Lake Chabot on February 21, 2026 features 5K to 50K trail races on mixed dirt trails, fire roads and some paved sections. The event is chip timed, cupless, and limited to 500 runners.

Montara Mountain Trail Run in Pacifica on Feb 21, 2026 offers distances from a 10K to a 50K plus a free kids 50 yd dash, marked courses, aid stations every 6 to 7 miles, and a cupless hydration policy.
