Salt Lake Foothills Trail Races take place in the foothills above Salt Lake City, with the main venue near Hogle Zoo at 2600 Sunnyside Ave. The event offers multiple trail distances that use winding singletrack and provide expansive mountain and city views.

The Half Marathon is a point to point course that begins near Ensign Peak and finishes at the main venue. The 10K climbs about 1,200 feet. The Half Marathon includes roughly 2,800 feet of climbing. The 50 Mile course listing shows about 10,300 feet of gain. GPX files are available for all distances and the organizer recommends carrying a device capable of following GPX navigation.

Logistics and rules: pacers are allowed for the 50 Mile race under specified conditions, poles are permitted in all distances, and headphones are allowed with awareness of others. Dogs are not allowed on course. There are no drop bags; runners should plan to carry needed nutrition and gear. Aid stations will supply water, Nuun hydration, basic snacks, and conventional ultra aid station food. Required kit includes, at minimum, a 2.5 liter bladder and a headlamp.
