The Saguaro Showdown is a unique backyard ultra event held at Usery Mountain Regional Park in Mesa, Arizona. It features two races: a running event with 4.1667-mile laps and a rucking event with 2.3-mile laps. The race follows a last-person-standing format where participants must complete each lap within an hour, starting a new lap every hour on the hour.

The course uses local trails during the day and switches to an out-and-back road course at night. Runners and ruckers must be at the start line for each lap, with no late starts allowed.
