Running for a Paws 5K

City of Rockmart hosts the fifth annual Running for a Paws 5K in downtown Rockmart, Georgia. The 5K takes runners through downtown streets and onto the fast Silver Comet Trail for an out-and-back course, with the turnaround just past Vinson Mountain Trailhead and the finish along the trail near Veterans Plaza beside Euharlee Creek. Proceeds benefit the City of Rockmart Police Department K9 Fund.

Described as super-fast and flat, the event also honors top finishers with overall, masters, and age-group awards. Pre-race packet pickup is available at the Rockmart Police Department. The race runs rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
