Pumpkin Butt : Kennesaw, GA
Pumpkin Butt is a trail run in Kennesaw, GA organized by GUTS. The event is a 50K run staged as five loops of approximately 10K each, following the same course used in 2024. The run is open and free to GUTS members only; membership is available through the event registration platform.
Due to permit limitations the event is classified as a run and it is not official. The event will be cupless, with no disposable cups provided at aid points. An aid station is located at the start and finish area and is available once per loop. Parking at the venue is limited; final course and parking details are provided to participants prior to the run.
A unique requirement of this event is that each runner must bring one pumpkin (no gourds). Pumpkins are drawn at random for the pumpkin-carry portion of the event, and any runner who returns their pumpkin unharmed receives a special prize. Runners must complete at least two loops before carrying a pumpkin for a loop. The event also includes a can goods collection to benefit the local food bank. Awards may include pie for winners.
