Pumpkin Butt : Kennesaw, GA

Pumpkin Butt is a community run held in Kennesaw, GA. The event follows a multi-loop course that repeats the same route used in 2024. Participants run five loops of approximately 10 km each to complete the full distance.

Distances

  • 50K (five loops of ~10K)

The run is open and free to GUTS members only; GUTS membership is available through Ultrasignup. Registration opens June 13, 2026. Due to permit limitations this event is classified as a run and it is not official.

Each runner must bring one pumpkin (no gourds). Pumpkins may be chosen at random for carrying during loops, and runners who return their pumpkin unharmed receive a special prize. Runners must complete at least two loops before carrying a pumpkin for a loop. The event will also collect canned goods for donation to a local food bank.

Aid is available at a station in the start/finish area and can be used once per loop. The event will be cupless this year, so participants should plan accordingly. Parking is limited. Full course and parking details will be provided to participants prior to the run. There may be pie for the winners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
