Running Events Devon - Pheasant Challenge 2026 Day 1

Running Events Devon stages the Pheasant Challenge at a new venue on Station Road, Bridestowe EX20 4HF. The event is an eight hour timed challenge on an undulating mixed surface course that is partly off-road and partly paved.

The course is an out-and-back loop of 5.3 km along a scenic stretch of an old disused train line. The organiser operates a "TUGG" Turn Up Get Going system that allows arrival within a morning to early-afternoon window, with an overall permitted time to complete laps. Participants may complete a single lap or multiple laps up to the event time limit; finishing within the permitted time qualifies as a finisher and earns a medal.

Entry is limited to 70 participants. Minimum age to enter is 18 years. Entries close on 11 June 2026. Price categories listed are affiliated £32.00, unattached £34.00, affiliated no perks £21.00, and unattached no perks £23.00. If the event reaches capacity, later entrants will be offered a bespoke medal chosen from those available on the day.

Local accommodation mentioned by the organiser includes the Fox & Hounds, which offers rooms, a bunkhouse and camping, with on-site food available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
