Runnin' with the Law - Essexville, MI
Runnin' with the Law is the 8th annual race series organized by the Bay City Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 103 with Consumers Energy and Blue Line Liquidations. The event takes place at Finn Road Park and Campground in Essexville on Saturday, September 12, 2026, and features multiple run and walk options on the nature trail of Hampton Township. A Public Safety Showcase follows the event where participants can meet local law enforcement and community sponsors. Proceeds benefit the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 103.
Race distances and formats include:
- Hero Run 9.11 mile run
- Felony Apprehension 5 mile run
- Foot Pursuit 5K run
- Jaywalking 5K walk
- Police Academy 1/4 mile run and walk for ages 10 and under
A virtual race series mirrors the on-site distances. Virtual participants may complete their chosen distance during the week of September 6 through September 11, 2026. All virtual participants receive a race day t-shirt and a finisher medal but are not eligible for placement awards.
Registration is open for pre-registration before September 10, 2026, with additional day of event registration available at an extra cost. No refunds are provided. Packet pickup is available the day before the event and on race morning. T-shirts can be pre-ordered with a limited number available on race day. Post-race refreshments and snacks are provided.
