Course and rules

The course uses unpaved two-track and single-track trails through a 520-acre preserve of woods, creeks, marshes, and bridges. Terrain includes flat sections and hills. Dogs may participate but must be kept on a leash. Organizers ask participants to minimize dog-to-dog interactions and to consider each dog’s limitations. The race is chip timed by Miller Race Management with a kiosk for results.

Registration and logistics

Pre-registration is encouraged; registering before August 1 avoids late fees. Same-day registration and packet pickup are available at Midland City Forest. Packet pickup also occurs the evening before the event. A mid-course water station will be provided, and fruit, snacks, and water will be available after the race. The event runs rain or shine; if thunder or lightning is present or expected, the run will be postponed until 30 minutes after the last instance of thunder or lightning.
