18th Annual Gobbler Gallop Trail Run/Walk 1 Mile

The event is held on Thanksgiving morning at the park located at 3495 Midland Road, Saginaw, MI. It has become a family tradition in the Saginaw Valley Area and includes trail running and walking on wooded routes near the Tittabawassee River.

Distances offered:

  • 1 mile youth run, single loop in the back of the park
  • 5k run, single loop on a wooded trail along the Tittabawassee River
  • 5k walk, same wooded loop as the 5k run

Online registration opens 2/5/2026. Published online pricing tiers apply: $5 per participant through 10/31, $10 per participant 11/1 through 11/21, and $20 per participant 11/22 through 11/25. Race day registration is available at the pavilion at the back of the park for a $20 fee. All entry fees are nonrefundable.

Race services include an accurately measured course, official timing with results, and custom finisher medals for the top five finishers per gender in each race. Individual male and female winners of each event receive either a pumpkin or an apple pie. Race shirts are available for an additional $10; shirts are not guaranteed after 11/1 and will be long sleeve moisture wicking when provided.

Pre-race bib and shirt pick up occurs on 11/25 at the Saginaw Runners Athletic Company store at 4605 Bay Rd, Saginaw. All proceeds benefit Hawks Running Club LLC to support youth running in the Saginaw Township area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
