RunForJo 2026 is scheduled for 21 June 2026 at Oakwell Hall and Country Park, Birstall, West Yorkshire. This is the 10th and final edition of the event, held to remember Jo Cox and to reflect the values she promoted. Proceeds go to MoreInCommon Batley & Spen to support local projects. Individual entry is priced at £20.00. The event has an entry limit of 250 places, with 195 places remaining at the time of the listing. Entry on the day will not be available.

Course and facilities

The course is multi-terrain, undulating and run over two laps. It is not suitable for wheelchairs. Facilities listed include water stations, distance markers, toilets and a baggage store. The baggage store is not supervised; items are left at the owner’s risk and must be collected by 1pm. Under-11s must remain with a responsible adult at all times and booking a place for an under-11 makes the adult responsible for their safety. Two winter races from Great Owl Running on 24 January 2026 at Kirkstall Bridge. A roughly 16 km multi terrain route follows the canal and River Aire while a 10 km out and back runs along the canal.

The North of England Cross Country Championships come to Pontefract Race Course on 24 January 2026, with races for U13 to senior athletes on a challenging parkland course. Chip timing and club colours required, entries close 18 January.

Take on The Half & Half 10 km on 25 January 2026 at Sowerby Bridge for a split terrain challenge. Rugged muddy trails and obstacles give way to a tarmac finish, entries are limited to 100 and hoodies are available to pre order.

Tigger Tor is a classic winter fell race from Fox House on 25 January 2026, taking runners across Houndkirk, Burbage and Hathersage Moors in a 14.2 km course with 490 m of climb. Navigation and mandatory kit make it a true fell challenge.
