The Runaway Challenge is a six-hour timed running event on Saturday 27 September 2025, organised by Circuit Running Events Ltd. The event is held on Lincoln Road, Skellingthorpe, Lincoln LN6 5UU. Course, distances and facilities

The course follows an old railway line on a tarmac path. It is an out-and-back route on road/pavement with no navigation required and is described as flat. One lap is 4.37 miles and there is a 5 km turn point.

Distances and lap formats:

  • 5 km - using the 5k turn point
  • 10 km - two laps of the 5k lap
  • Half marathon - three laps of the 4.37-mile course
  • Marathon - six laps of the 4.37-mile course
  • Ultra marathon - seven or more laps

Aid and facilities include a table at the end of each lap supplying water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of food. Toilets and car parking are at Skellingthorpe Community Centre.
