Run to the Rhythm Trail 5K

The inaugural Run to the Rhythm Trail 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk takes place at Northwood High School in Pittsboro, North Carolina. This event utilizes the school's established cross-country trail system, which incorporates a variety of natural surfaces. Participants traverse wooded paths, grassy fields, and sections of packed dirt. The terrain includes a combination of flat stretches and gentle rolling hills, with both the start and finish lines positioned near the school track.

Available distances include:

  • 5K trail race
  • 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk

The 5K route follows the scenic trails through the school grounds and surrounding areas. The 1-Mile option is designed for participants of all ages and abilities, including families and students. The event features specific categories for competition, including overall awards for male, female, non-binary, and wheelchair/adaptive participants. Age group awards are also presented to the top two finishers in categories for those 12 and under, 13-17, and 18 and over.

Registered participants receive an official event T-shirt and a swag bag, with availability guaranteed for those who complete registration by April 1, 2026. The morning includes food and post-race activities held on the school grounds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
