The Run to the Rhythm Trail 5k & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Northwood High School in Pittsboro, NC. The event includes the following distances:

All registered participants are to receive an official event T-shirt and a goodie bag; participants registered by April 1, 2026 are guaranteed a T-shirt and swag bag, and those who register after April 1 may receive items based on availability. The event is timed by Run The East, LLC.
Course, fees and awards
The course follows the school’s cross country/trail system with wooded paths, grassy fields and packed dirt trails. The route includes gentle rolling hills and flat stretches; the start and finish are located near the school track.
Registration fees listed are:
- Early registration for the 5K - $30 by April 1
- Early registration for the 1-Mile - $20 by April 1
- 5K - $40 after April 1
- 1-Mile - $30 after April 1
Awards for both distances include overall winners in Male, Female, Non-Binary and Wheelchair/Adaptive (1st place) and top two in age groups 12 & under, 13–17, and 18+.
