Donate Life NC Hero Run at Herndon Park

The event takes place at Herndon Park in Durham with an out-and-back course on the American Tobacco Trail. Participants finish at the park where refreshments and awards are provided. Parking is located at Herndon Park, 511 Scott King Road.

Event offerings include:

  • 5K Run/Walk/Roll
  • 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk/Roll
  • Sleep In Superhero (virtual)

The 5K registration includes a t-shirt, a bib with a timing chip, and post-race refreshments. The 1 Mile event includes a bib and access to the post-race party. The Sleep In Superhero option is virtual only and includes a race t-shirt mailed to registrants. Registration fees are stated for each option.

All funds support statewide outreach and education about organ, tissue, and eye donation in North Carolina. Awards for the 5K include top male and female overall and top male and female in these age groups: 10 and under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
