The Cane Creek Mtn Trail Run takes place on September 12, 2026 at Cane Creek Mountain Natural Area in Snow Camp, NC. The event offers two distances over predominantly single-track trails with notable climbs and varied terrain. The courses start with about one mile of wide, flat gravel before a steep, rocky 300 foot ascent to the mountain peak at 987 feet, where an 80 foot observation tower sits. The tower opened in spring 2025 and is accessible as an optional stair climb near the end of each race; competitors who decline the climb may serve a real-time penalty at the aid station.
