Course and race features

All three races are one-loop courses that begin with 0.3 miles of downhill pavement before moving onto mostly single-track trails. Briar Chapel has more than 20 miles of trails across a 900-acre community; trails include rocks, roots, hills, and some flatter sections. Courses remain on trail except for a few road crossings and short paved sections and are described as moderately technical.

Race operations include chip timing, medical support, and frequent aid stations roughly every 1-2 miles. Registration includes a race tee in men’s, women’s, and youth sizes, a 3.5" finisher medal for all finishers, free post-race photos, post-race food and beverages, and awards. Age-group awards and overall awards are offered; age groups run from 13-under to 70+. There is a free kids race for children 11 and under. Minimum age rules apply for unaccompanied participation in each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
