Run to Remember - Sykesville

Run to Remember is a memorial trail event held at Piney Run Park in Sykesville, MD. The course is a 5.25 mile loop through woods and meadows with lake views on about half the loop. The loop format is used for the longer distances.

The course features two points where runners can pass a water stop and a well stocked aid station at the transition of each loop with a variety of food and drinks. Race fees include park entrance and a race hat or visor plus a finisher medal; completing the 50K also earns a custom mug. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each appropriate category.

The event is rain or shine. All entry fees are nonrefundable. There is no race day registration and apparel is offered as an optional purchase. Packet pickup is organized the day before the race at Otzi Mediterranean Restaurant in Eldersburg. A portion of race proceeds supports the club, its youth program, a local scholarship, and the American Association for Cancer Research.
