Run to Remember - Sykesville

Run to Remember is a memorial trail event held at Piney Run Park, 30 Martz Rd, Sykesville, MD. The course is a 5.25 mile loop through woods and meadows with lake views on about half of the route. The loop is used repeatedly for the longer distances.

There are two points where runners pass a water stop on the loop. At the transition of each lap there is a well stocked aid station offering a variety of food and drinks. The event is held rain or shine and all fees are nonrefundable. Race day registration is not available and optional apparel is offered for purchase for all races.

Race fees include park entrance, a race hat or visor, and a finisher medal. Completing the 50K also includes a custom mug. Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers in the applicable races. The 8 hour challenge is scored by laps completed and time.

Packet pick up is scheduled the day before the event at Otzi Mediterranean Restaurant, 20A Liberty Rd, Eldersburg, MD. A portion of proceeds supports the club, its youth program, an athletic academic scholarship, and the American Association for Cancer Research. Registration closes April 15 at 11:59 PM ET.
