Run to Remember takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Piney Run Park at 30 Martz Rd, Sykesville, MD. Registration closes on Wed, Apr 15 at 11:59 PM ET. The event offers the following distances:

  • 50K - six 5.25 mile loops
  • 25K - three 5.25 mile loops
  • 5 Miler - one 5.25 mile loop
  • 8 Hour Challenge - timed laps completed within eight hours

No race day registration is available. Optional apparel purchases are offered and packet pick up is to be determined.

Course, services, and fees

The course is a 5.25 mile loop of woods and meadows with lake views on roughly half the route. There are two passable water stops on the course and an aid station with food and drinks at the transition of each loop. The event is held rain or shine and all fees are nonrefundable.

Race fees include park entrance, a race hat or visor, and a finisher medal. Finishers of the 50K receive a custom mug. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each race; the 8 Hour Challenge awards the competitors who complete the most laps in the fastest time. A portion of proceeds supports the organizing club, its youth program, a local scholarship, and the American Association for Cancer Research.
